Michael Nyman (1944-, UK) is an internationally established composer. His music, which is based on minimal music, has many influences, including pop, rock, and baroque music. “Water Dances (1985/89)” was originally composed for the film, “MAKING A SPLASH (1984)” by Peter Greenaway, played by the Nyman Band. The version for two pianos was revised in 1989 under the commission of Fujishima Keiko.
