Battleship Potemkin Music by Michael Nyman Michael Nyman and his band give the UK premiere of his new score for Sergei Eisenstein's iconic 1925 silent film. There’s also an opportunity to hear selected music from Nyman’s famous scores for Peter Greenaway films, including The Draughtsman’s Contract, A Zed & Two Noughts, and Prospero’s Books. Commissioned by Arts 276 – Festival Automne en Normandie, Cité de la Musique, Les Dominicains de Haute-Alsace, Symphony Hall Birmingham and Holland Festival. The concert is part of the Birmingham International Concert Season 2012/13. There will be a pre-concert conversation with Michael Nyman at 6.15pm.
